Fuxion is led by Executive Producer Johanna Vega and Director Scott Barnett, who recently premiered their latest documentary 'Crossing Overtown' a portrait of Miami's first Black community that would play an integral role in the Civil Rights Movement and offers a discourse on policing and justice in communities of color. The documentary is currently airing on PBS. This was preceded by the PBS documentary "State of Rodeo" produced with NETA and the Southern Documentary Fund, a program that highlights the 500 year history of Florida as the first Cowboy State and honors the Rodeo and Ranching tradition. Scott and Johanna are also the 8 time Emmy winning producers of the show "Kid Stew," a children's program created with best-selling author James Patterson on PBS that promotes literacy as well as the arts and sciences in a fun, entertaining format that keeps kids laughing. Fuxion continues to explore the rich fabric of the American story with previous documentaries including, 'Himmarshee, The History of Fort Lauderdale's New River', 'Osceola's Journey' a film about the life of one of the Florida's most iconic Seminole leaders as well as the 'Midnight Basketball League' featuring an inner city youth league in the Historic Village of Overtown.
